Face of an Angel (Virgin in the Rocks)

Based on Leonardo Da Vinci’s “La Scapigliata”, this piece was coaxed out of the rocks using 1296 natural slate and travertine one inch stone tiles.
Other than Da Vinci, I was partially inspired by Salvidor Dali’s Gala Contemplating the Mediterranean Sea.
