Face of an Angel – 2007
Based on Leonardo Da Vinci’s “La Scapigliata”, this piece was coaxed out of the rocks using 1296 natural slate and travertine one inch stone tiles.Other than Da Vinci, I was partially inspired by Salvidor Dali’s Gala Contemplating the Mediterranean Sea.
This was the first mosaic I did using stone . It was a learning process and thus took three months to complete.
