Here is the third mosaic in a series based on Leonardo Da Vinci’s Virgin of the Rocks. This one is taken from a crop of the actual painting instead of a sketch.
The piece was put together using 1584 5/8th inch travertine, slate and marble stones. Each stone is about the size of a fingernail.
